On Saturday 12th November, Raine & Horne offices from across the Hunter will take part in a charity walk to help raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Newcastle.
38 staff members from across 10 Raine & Horne offices will take part in the challenge, walking a 12km journey to represent the 12 rooms at John Hunter's Ronald McDonald House that provide families a much needed “home away from home” whilst their child is receiving hospital treatment.
We'll be starting the walk at the Fernleigh Loop and finishing at the Queens Wharf Hotel (for a much needed refreshment!). While the walk may be a tough one for some, it’s nothing compared to the journeys that families face after receiving news of their child’s serious illness.
RMHC helps sick kids and their families when they need it most. The team provide families with accommodation, meals, family activities, peer support, resources for siblings, respite, laundry facilities and many other services to care for families with an ill or injured child.
Every dollar makes a big impact for families, with a donation as little as $20 helping keep the cupboards stocked with food and household items, or $60 providing two weeks of clean linen for a safe place to sleep when families are far from home.
