Raine and Horne Newtown take their role as ‘neighbour’ very seriously and hold a vision to support and nurture those within the community. With their prominent setting on King Street and stylish premises with expansive front walls of glass, they believe their latest venture will do just that. They are inviting emerging and local artists to showcase their art for periods of three months at a time within their front window.
Each quarter one local artist will exhibit a series of work to the public beautifying the space and streetscape and offering excellent exposure. This quarter they are proud to be showcasing the work of Chippendale commercial photographer Chris Walters who is displaying his Cloud Studies 2018 series.
Cloud Studies 2018 is a culmination of seven years of research and work, embodying the feelings of place without any particular space. It focuses the attention on the spaces in-between, interpolating night and day, today and tomorrow, the sun and the storm, the blues and reds, the unsure and the clear. It embodies the unknown.
These stunning depictions of nature are breathtaking, showcasing the diversity of our natural environment. Take the time to lose yourself within their calm and serene beauty. For any enquiries Chris’s contact details and information on this and his other works can be found at https://www.christopherwaltersartist.com/exhibitions.html
Artists who would like to exhibit there work in this format in the future please contact Vivienne Rockell at Raine & Horne Newtown on 8596 3555.
