Angus Raine, Executive Chairman of Raine & Horne Group, is the great-grandson of founder Tom Raine and fourth-generation leader of the family business, established in 1883.
He began his career outside the family business in the late 1980s, spending a decade with three leading international firms cutting major Sydney commercial deals, before returning in 1998 as a Director of Raine & Horne Holdings Pty Limited. With 35+ years of experience across commercial, residential, and rural property, he holds qualifications in strategy, leadership, valuation, finance, and franchising.
Angus has driven major innovations including CompassPlus, DigiKitPlus, and Amplify (an AI-powered marketing tool), expanded the Group's Commercial, International, and Rural divisions, and in December 2023 acquired New Zealand's Mike Pero Real Estate network, rebranding all 65 offices to Raine & Horne.
A respected property commentator, he contributes to Money Magazine, national newspapers, and trade press, appears regularly on radio and television, co-authored From Homesteads to High-Rises (2023), and was a guest presenter on the Seven Network's Sandcastles (2013). He has keynoted major industry conferences including the National Association of Realtors in India (2019) and Family Business State Conferences, and led Raine & Horne into the Family Business Association's Hall of Fame in 2012.
Angus leads the Raine & Horne Foundation, which has raised over $1 million since 2021 for Dignity, Rural Aid, and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, the latter holding personal significance as Raine Island was first visited in 1815 by his great-great-grandfather, explorer Captain Thomas Raine. The Foundation's work includes the Raine & Horne Foundation House in Sydney, offering 11 studios providing 4,000+ nights of emergency accommodation annually.
