Claire, Georgia, Jorda, and I set off at 6:30 am on Friday, 20th February, to experience the 2026 NSW / ACT Property Management Retreat that was held in Manly at the Manly Pacific Hotel.
We heard from a variety of individuals, including Tanja Lee, Kasey McDonald, Sarah Heuvel, Nicole Unger and Sarah Bell. We also got to hear from a Panel of leaders, Katie, John and Paul, who shared insight into their day in the life. It was a great day connecting and building relationships with other business individuals.
We learnt about the new rental reforms coming in later 2026/ early 2027, as well as the risks and penalties associated with them. Sarah Heuval shared her experience on property law and case studies she has dealt with, which opened so much insight into how important every aspect of a property manager's job really is. Mindset and wellbeing was the aim of Tanja Lee’s performance, and she really brought some valuable tools to use daily to calm your mind.
Sarah Bell, who flew all the way from Bangladesh to present to us on the day, provided some guidance on the best way to use AI and how it is looking to evolve over the years. Wow, what technology this is.
We finished the day with a lovely dinner at Hugo’s, which overlooked the harbour. A big thank you to Maria and the whole Raine and Horne corporate team for putting together yet another amazing retreat. I really do find so much value in attending these days and am excited for what future retreats may hold. Not to mention our team of Directors here at Raine and Horne Wagga Wagga for providing us with this ongoing opportunity.
